Headquartered in Studio City, California, GVN Releasing is a fast-growing, independent distribution company, providing movies in the film industry for domestic and international audiences across traditional, digital, theatrical, television and emerging platforms. GVN focuses on a value-added approach in production, acquisition, and distribution. When it came time to re-fresh their company brand, GVN commissioned Chameleon DG to create a revitalized identity platform that reflects the quality and high standards of the films they have in their growing distribution portfolio.
The company name GVN, conceived by the owner, represents the first letter of the names of his three children. It was important to the owner having a subtle representation of family, and family values, in the company’s identity.

When it came time to design and develop the logo animation, the challenge was to represent the story of the three children within the brand animation, while still creating a strong, visually stimulating sequence that reinforced the company’s place and growth within the industry, as well as a hint of family values. The GVN Releasing logo identity trailer is placed on every theatrical, digital and television release.
