Owned by acclaimed actor & director Mario Van Peebles, MVP Entertainment (Films) is his motion picture production company umbrella for major and independent films released to theaters, direct to video, OTT, television, and streaming platforms. His work has a cult following, like Panther and Baadass, also known for directing USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage, starring Nicolas Cage, and hit movie New Jack City. Mario Van Peebles reached out to Chameleon DG for a refresh of his film production company brand and logo identity animation.

LOGO IDENTITY ANIMATION
The MVP brand is placed on varying theatrical, digital and television releases, so when designing and developing the logo animation, the challenge was to visually represent the three type of film genres MVP typically is associated with: action, drama, and activism. The logo at the end of the sequence was intended to have a carved stone look, symbolizing a brand that is strong, with a firm foundation, standing the test of time, not only as a production company but as a family crest with each member of Mario Van Peebles family having the initials “MVP”.
